Each of these departments has its own responsibilities and checklists, such as Housekeeping, Front Desk, Food and Beverage, Health and Safety, Events, etc.

Preventive Maintenace General Guest Room Inspection Checklist

If you are a maintenance manager, you may wish to develop a standard operating procedure (SOP) that should be included in checklists for inspecting guest rooms, which could encompass items such as:

Lighting: Ensure that all lights are working properly; replace lightbulbs if needed

HVAC unit/thermostat: Ensure proper functioning; change filters if needed
